INTRODUCING QUICK LOCK II
2x STIFFER 2x STRONGER
In 2020, Starboard Foils introduced the quickest foil assembly system with Quick Lock.
For 2022 and continuing into 2023, Quick Lock II offers 55% more thickness and a new Lock-Slot, making the front wing connection twice as stiff and twice as strong for impeccable control and flight stability.
WHAT MAKES IT SO STIFF?
The cross section of the front wing male ferrule is 55% thicker compared to the original Quick Lock: less twist = more control.
The tail wing section and the mast slot is the same as on the original Quick Lock fuselage, so masts and tail wings are cross-compatible.
The new Lock-Slot on the top adds an an extra mechanical locking point.
The new octagonal shape of the male ferrule, with flat sides and sharp corners, maximizes the interlocking surface areas.

The new Quick Lock II comes with 20mm spacers that allow you to extend the foil's wing-base by up to 40mm

WING-BASE MEASUREMENTS
With Quick Lock II, our wing-bases can be adjusted up to 4cm using two 2cm spacers.
E-Type, S-Type and Glider wing-bases are measured using the 36cm tail piece that comes with the wing sets. 31cm and 41cm tail pieces are available as an upgrade item.
The Glider Pro's tail piece can be cut up to 8cm shorter for pro-riders who look for the shortest wing-base.
Wing-base measurements will vary depending on the actual front and tail wing sizes used.

CHOPPING THE TAIL PIECE
Starboard Foils' unique Quick Lock system also allows you to reduce fuselage length by chopping down the tail piece.

A SUPER-STIFF V8 ALUMINIUM MAST
V8 PROFILE
19mm thick and thicker walls: the V8 profile makes the mast extremely stiff. The cross-sectional area is the same as the V7 mast, resulting in the same mast weight per cm.
3cm narrower: the reduced chord adds more glide and flying efficiency.
V8 TOP PLATE
The V8 Top Plate continues to use Starboard Foils' innovative side-bolts solution for a rock-solid connection. A generous fillet radius was added at base to further stiffen the connection between mast and board.
Compared to the V7 system, we lose the Deep Tuttle adaptability since the new V8 mast is 19mm thick: thicker than a Deep Tuttle box.
V8 FUSELAGE ADAPTER
The connection between mast and fuselage uses an new aluminium CNC-machined adapter, for maximum connection stiffness.

MAST ANGLE SPACERS
A 1.5° mast angle spacer is supplied with each mast set and a 3° mast angle spacer is also available as an accessory item.
Use these spacers to lift the nose higher when flying, if the board feels it is pointing too far down.

Glider

Monolithic Racing Mast
Our fastest wing foil mast.
Built in solid Ultra-High Modulus C400 Carbon, this mast is designed for racing. The bottom half is extra thin to unleash maximum speed while the top half is thick for added stiffness and a rock-solid connection to the board.
This item is sold as a mast alone, not a set. Combine with a Quick Lock II fuselage and wings or the Evolution MkII fuselage and wings from the windsurf foil collection to make a complete foil.

GLASS
A new line of entry foils
The Glass series are entry foils that are fully compatible and upgradable with Starboard Foils' Modular Foil Platform.
The blue G100 wings are made from a pre-preg glass sandwich construction. The one-piece fuselage uses a non-adjustable Quick Lock II system for the front wing fitting.
All Glass series foils come with the V8 aluminium mast system.
